Rozen's Last Quest (C64)

Once upon a time there lived a knight known for his courage. His name was Rozen. During his long life he had many adventures and fought many duels. He was already about to retire when he learned of a mysterious castle that consisted of many levels. It seemed that the castle kept growing upward without end.

No one has yet gotten to the roof of the castle. That's a challenge just in time for me, thought Rozen.

This is a roguelite game for Commodore 64. There are currently 20 randomly generated levels waiting for you full of monsters and treasure.

Game controls:

cursors move player. Use joystick in port 2 (needs fixing but works sometimes)

• P - Pick up an item
• I - Show Inventory
• D - Drop an item (the same as show inventory above)
• U - Use an item (currently pouches and potions only)
• > - Enter a new level or pray to old gods when standing on the altar
• F1- Help

Abbreviations: HP - Hit Points, L - Player Level, EX - Experience, ATT - Attack Value, DEF - Defence, A - Armor, MR - Magic Resistance (not used in this game version), DB - Damage Bonus, A - Attack Bonus, D - Defence Bonus.

The game is in beta and I am still trying to enrich it with new elements. Despite the limitations of the platform, such as memory, there is still some room for new things. The development of the game also depends on how it is perceived by the circle of retro enthusiasts.

The game was tested on a real C64 computer.
